Photoshooot!!!

Sooo....I'M IN SYDNEY!!! Interning for this fab designer brand "JOVEEBA" with head designer Alison Cotton (Who takes great enjoyment in taunting me about the fact i cannot do a push up but want to learn to surf...by jeeves i will get on that board!!!). Today was the photoshoot for summer range and it was a beaut! Proud to say i did some bits and bobs towards it (so good to be sewing again...never thought i would say that after my graduate collection!) Illustrator: Maybe we can be friends

After three expensive years of university i came out with a degree in Fashion, a pretty good knowledge of photoshop, but absolutley noooo Adobe illustrator skills. This being a problem considering every job i ever apply for require "good knowledge of Adobe illustrator and photoshop". With that in mind i have taught myself how to do the basics. I may not be perfect but practice make perfect!!!

Only If for a night.

I entered a competiton at the end of January, to design artwork for Florence and the Machine contribution to the "Secret 7"" project in aid of the teenage cancer trust. A great cause to support.
I did fail miserably at gaining a spot on the 45 chosen, though did come in the top 100 in public votes (over 1500 entered) but it was a good cause to draw for, and i enjoyed it non the less!

So rather than put away in a box for eternity, i thought i would chuck it up on my lovely blog i've been neglecting. The intial drawings are all done in a bog standard biro and scanned on in a pdf format for a slightly grainy effect.....Enjoy..........

Well i've returned home after 3 years of sticking things on walls, dying my hair every colour under the sun, eating badly and being an abstract wanker...and quite frankly i miss it. It was nice to have clean clothes, hot water and a hearty meal in the beginning, but the urge to get back to chaos is getting stronger.

My reasoning of "mess is art" doesn't float here, nor does "i can't move the dishes from my room, art collectors are coming round to buy it!". It's becoming increasing obvious i'm not fitting in too well with my squeaky clean surroundings, and my arty farty ways look out of place in the household...

Bit of a disaster at the first show...the zip on my leather trousers buckled and broke...luckily i had a spare for later
